Kjell Arne Johansson
Kjell Arne Johansson is a professor of medical ethics and the philosophy of science at Bergen Centre for Ethics and Priority Setting (BCEPS) at the Department of Global Public Health and Primary Care. He also has a clinical background as a physician in the field of drug addiction and obstetrics and gynaecology at Haukeland University Hospital.

Øystein A. Haaland
Øystein A. Haaland is a professor of medical statistics at the Department of Global Public Health and Primary Care at the University of Bergen. He is also co-leader of the FairChoices research group at Bergen Centre for Ethics and Priority Setting. He has a PhD in statistics and is an expert R user.

Jan-Magnus Økland
Økland has a Master in Pure Mathematics from University of Bergen (1998), tried for a PhD in the same area, but failed. He had studied the pedagogy add-on and worked as a teacher at high school level. Øystein brought him in to what now is BCEPS in 2016 for his programming skills. Økland has since worked on coding the ideas of the group in R, mostly FairChoices work, notably under that heading fall writing the HAAD algorithm.

Krishna K. Aryal
Krishna’s work over the past decade has been largely on chronic disease epidemiology and translation of research into policy and practice supporting evidence informed policy decisions with main areas being non-communicable diseases, burden of disease, and health systems research. He has contributed to the design of national health insurance in Nepal; production of Nepal national health accounts; and institutionalizing burden of disease related works in Nepal. His current project focuses on policy decision support for prioritization of healthcare interventions.
PhD Candidate
Ravi Kanta Mishra
Ravi is a PhD candidate in Health Economics. He has been working with Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal since a decade. He has contributed to national surveys like Nepal Demographic Health 2022 and Nepal Health Facility Survey 2021, production of national health accounts, National health financing strategy 2023-2033, Nepal health sector strategic plan 2023-2030 and health policy, planning and financing related works in Nepal. He focuses on health planning, budgeting, and prioritization of health care intervention in Nepal.
